Beneficiary Selection Process start up meeting

OSSA organization held a coordination meeting to start the process of selecting the beneficiaries of the ‘reintegration of street children through vocational training and employment in Herat province’ project.
The meeting was held with participation of DOLSA Director, Deputy Director of Help INGO, Program Manager of OSAA organization and representatives of UNICEF, WFP, DoEC, DOLSA and HELP INGOs in the EESC meeting room.
The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran; Then Mr. Wais Ahmad Hikmat, Program Manager of OSAA presented the presentation about the details of the project, the beneficiary selection process and its steps, and the conditions required for using the benefits of the training courses of this project.
Mr. Mawlawi Sabet, director of DOLSA appreciated the efforts of HELP and OSAA NGOs to start this project and continue their activities regarding the street children.
He added that the Herat governor will support all activities of NGOs related to Street Labor children and their families.
Subsequently, Mr. Mohammad Asif Foulad, Deputy Director of HELP Germany organization called the beginning of the beneficiary selection process of this project as a good step and emphasized on identifying and selecting qualified people who are really in need.
Also, Mr. Sebghatullah Habibi, UNICEF Representative, noted the existence of sample commitment forms in the CPAN office, which will be shared with the OSAA organization as requested. He called for ensuring that children are enrolled in schools when their fathers use the benefits of this project.
Then, The WFP representative, also assured about the readiness to scope the beneficiaries and provide them with food aid.
The meeting ended after a free discussion.
Also on Tuesday afternoon, the leadership of DOLSA, Help and OSAA organizations and representatives of UNICEF and Herat governor office, jointly participated at a gathering at the Herat Stadium area and
officially began the process of identifying street labor children for the next steps of beneficiary selection process.
